The Company
Occhipinti Design Center is a company specialized in the design, engineering and industrialization of helmets, capable of managing the entire development process from the initial idea to the finished product.
Within our modern 1,000 sqm facility, we directly carry out design activities, styling model development, 3D CAD design, CNC machining, rapid prototyping, and autoclave composite material molding, as well as the entire product industrialization phase and coordination between manufacturers and suppliers.
The Design Center
Every project starts from an idea, a concept, which initially takes shape through hand sketches and is subsequently digitized for the rendering phase.
Based on the renderings, a styling maquette is then developed, representing the core of the entire project and the starting point for the subsequent engineering and industrialization phases.
Once defined, the styling maquette undergoes 3D optical scanning, initiating the reverse engineering process, during which the mathematical surfaces of all helmet components are developed, including the internal EPS elements.
Through rapid prototyping and CNC machining, a fully functional helmet prototype is then produced, complete with all its components, allowing for aesthetic and functional validation of the mathematical surfaces—an essential step before moving into the final industrialization phase.
Composite Manufacturing
Over the years, a dedicated production department has also been established, including lamination and composite material molding in autoclave using aerospace-derived technologies.
We are able to manufacture pre-series and small production runs intended for homologation testing, sampling purposes, or limited editions for riders.

The Story
Our design center was founded in Tuscany in 1994, driven by Luca Occhipinti's passion and long-standing experience in the world of motorcycles and everything connected to it.
Over the years, we have collaborated with many of the most important European and international helmet manufacturers, contributing to the design and development of more than 1,000 models that achieved significant commercial success.
